Walter A. Taylor, 77, was found dead in his home, 106 N. Evergreen, at 11 a.m. today. He was found by Mrs. M. C. Taylor, sister-in-law, who investigated after not seeing him during the morning. He had been ill two years.
Taylor was born Nov. 17, 1871, two miles east of Chanute, Kansas.
He lived in Chanute since coming here at an early age.
Surviving are a brother, M. C. Taylor, 102 N. evergreen; two nieces, Mrs. O. R. Stevens, Alameda, Calif., and Mrs. D. H. Frederick, Wichita, KS; and a nephew, Arch Jackson, Wichita, KS.
Taylor was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Methodist church.
Burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute, KS.
