A. E. ADAMS, 86, Culver, died at 3:15 a.m. today in Plymouth’s Parkview hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Adams was born June 30, 1893, near Rochester. He had lived in Culver since 1938 after moving from Rochester. He was married Oct. 8, 1938, in Culver to Josephine L. COOK, who survives. He was the former owner-operator of the Basement barber shop of Rochester. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Wesley United Methodist church of Culver, a 60- year member of the Rochester American Legion post and a member of the Veterans of World War I of USA, Inc.
Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Jeanne YOCUM, Lincoln, Ill., and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wesley United Methodist church with the Rev. Donald BOWMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday and until noon Wednesday at the Bonine funeral home, Culver, and at the church Wednesday prior to the services. Contributions may be made to the Wesley United Methodist church or the Culver-Union Township Emergency Medical Service.
