Vallie Fern Tewksbury was born on May 2, 1914, in Maysville, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 94.

Vallie, the daughter of Robert Harrison and Cora Ethel (Hill) Bolles, was a resident of Prague. She married Franz Arthur Tewksbury on February 9, 1935 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2001. She was a homemaker, worked for many years in retail jewelry sales, and was of the Methodist faith. Her parents, three brothers and three sisters, also preceded Vallie in death.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Franz Arthur, Jr., and Susan Tewksbury of Escondido, CA, Robert Dean Tewksbury of Oceanside, CA, Ronald Jay and Joyce Tewksbury of Prague; 8 grandchildren; and 13 Great-grandchildren

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Mike Tucker officiating.
