Mrs. Arnold, active in many civic affairs, passed away at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Cronemiller, 609 Bemidji Avenue.
She came to Bemidji 54 yrs ago and has resided here ever since. She was active in the Red Cross, a charter member of the Women's Study Club, formed in 1903, a former member of the Beltrami county welfare board, and a member of the Presbyterian church and the Beltrami County Historical Society. She resided at 802 Beltrami Ave.
Mrs. Arnold was born Dec. 21, 1868 in Cedar county, Ia. She was married to Francis S. Arnold in Minneapolis. Mr. Arnold died in May 1937.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Nordquist, and two grandchildren of Cambridge, Mass., two brothers, T. H. Ridenour, Ames, Ia., and E. L. Ridenour, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; one niece, Mrs. Leslie Davis, North Brook, Ill., and one nephew, Robert Bailey Scharf, Los Alamos, Colo.
