Mr. Bolton was born Jan. 10, 1921 in Springfield, a son of the late Willie Bolton and Wittie Williams Bolton. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army, and a veteran of World War II. He was retired from J.F. Cleckley with 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Della Gant Bolton of Orangeburg; two sons, Willie Lewis Bolton of Gatlinburg, Tenn.,and Johnny Lane Bolton of Warner Robins, Ga.; one grandaughter; Jonie Lane Bolton of Warner Robins, Ga.; one greatgrandson, Coleman; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Dot) Bombard of Orangeburg, Mrs. Richard (Lucy) Hoover of Wagner; Mrs. Betty Jean Cooper of Salley and Mrs. Floyd (Patsy) Williams of Springfield; four brothers, Thomas Bolton of North, J.B. Bolton of Sumter, Olin Bolton and Jimmy Bolton, both of Springfield.
