Larry started working for Michigan Mutual Insurance at the age of 9 as a runner. He worked his way up through the company to Vice-President, but he declined. During the depression he helped his family by paying their taxes and buying them food. He loved to go hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and playing pool.
Larry married Mary Etta Hadden on September 07, 1929 in Detroit, MI. After many miscarriages they had one son, Dwight Jay Schaff. He married Rosalie Gramacki and made Larry a proud Grandfather of Audrey Rose (Schaff) Oehring.
Cause of Death: Advanced Parkinson's Disease
