Heart Trouble Claims Henry C. Blade After One Day's Illness
Henry C. Baade, a prominent groceryman and a native of Fort Wayne, died very suddenly at 4:15 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, 1201 Broadway. Death followed an illness of but one day and was due to heart trouble. Death came eleven days after his fifty-third birthday. The deceased was a member of the firm of Kayser & Baade, who have been in the grocery business at Jefferson street and Broadway for over thirty years. Mr. Baade is widely known throughout the city. The news of his death comes as a shock to his many friends and acquaintances.
Mr. Baade was born and reared in Fort Wayne and had resided here practically all his life. He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran church and also of the B. U. V.
Surviving he leaves the mother, Mrs. Sophia Baade, the widow, one daughter, Miss Corinna; one son, Elmer, of Bloomington university; three sisters, Mrs. William Kayser, Miss Sophia Baade. and Mrs. Martha Horstmeyer; and two brothers. Frederick H. and Martin C. Baade. of this city.
