Dora, the daughter of James Richmond & Eliza (King) Pearson, was married to Dr. John Hancock on January 11, 1886.

They had two children, both born in Newtonia
1. Ada (Sept. 19, 1889)
2. Jessie B. (June 21, 1894)

John died in Newtonia on Feb. 14, 1926.

Dora was living in Neosho when she died from Chronic Myocarditis at 12:20 a.m. on April 6, 1949. She had lived 87 years, 3 months, & 14 days.

Mrs. E.C. Tilton of Neosho was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on April 8.
