MRS. MORRIS DIES AT BRIDGEPORT
Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Morris died at 10:15 o'clock, Thursday night, May
28th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Nathan Devault on Cadiz pike,
Bridgeport. She had been in failing health for three years and seriously ill
for the past four weeks.
Mrs. Morris had resided there for the past six years, going from New
Matamoras.
She was born at Woodsfield on October 9, 1869, a daughter of Marion and
Sarah Jane Latta Nalley. She was united in marriage at Woodsfield to Jacob
Henry Morris on June 25, 1886.
Surviving is her husband and five daughters; Mrs. George Barrett, of
Skotlan; Mrs. William Hutchison, of Newell, W. Va.; Mrs. Roy Devault, of
Colerain, Ohio; Mrs. Elsie Peterson of Martins Ferry, and Mrs. Albert Nathan
Devault with whom she made her home; three sons; Albert Morris of Marietta; Fred
Morris, of East Liverpool, and Floyd Morris, New Matamoras; two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Jane Pratt of Sandyville, W. Va., and Mrs. Louisa Dougherty, of Graysville,
a brother, Theodore Nalley, of Uplands; thirty-six grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Albert Devault home on Sunday afternoon
at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Frank Coen of the Lancaster chapel officiated. Burial
was in Farmington , Ohio, cemetery.
