AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Orville "Richie" Melton Jr. of Auburndale died of cancer Tuesday (June 13, 2006) at home. He was 49.

He was born in Lakeland on Dec. 29, 1956. He was a Christian.

Mr. Melton is survived by his mother, Louise Melton, Auburndale; sister, Rhonda Johnson, Longwood; companion, Rebecca Hawkins, Auburndale.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Auburndale Cemetery.
