ROBERTS, Samuel "Randy", age 36, was born in Miami and lived throughout Florida, from Pembroke Pines, Gainesville, to Orlando, Jacksonville and Lakeland. Randy loved Florida and most importantly, he loved his family. Randy was a devoted husband and father. Words cannot express the unconditional way he loved those closest to him. He enjoyed working for Publix and all the great friends he met through his work. Many co-workers and professional contacts continually comment on his high level of integrity, his diligence and being a man of his word. A 1995 graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism, he was an avid Gator fan, attending all of their National Championship bids with his uncle and cousins. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Randy is survived by his wife Sara Rust Roberts, a daughter Charlotte Arden and a son Samuel Porter; mother Ida Laface Roberts, Orlando; father John P. Roberts Sr and stepmother Patricia, Tallahassee; brothers; John P, Jr (Marie) Winter Haven; Bobby A. (Wanda) Fountain Inn, SC; F. Michael (Christie) Trussville, AL; Russ (Maisy) Salerno, Clermont; and sister Rebecca Lynn Roberts, Orlando. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
