Funeral services for Barbara K. Brister, 62, of Leesville were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, the Rev. Chris Welch officiated. The burial followed in the Pine Island Cemetery in Leesville.
Mrs. Brister passed away on Sunday, April 5th at her residence in Leesville. She was a life long resident of Vernon Parish, graduating from Pickering High School in 1964; she worked for Byrd Hospital and MA Bell Telephone Company. Barbara loved to travel & spend time with her family and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by husband Johnny Brister, Sr.; parents George and Faye Brogdon; brother Ronald Brogdon; sister Norma Jean Brogdon; grandson Baron Brister and great granddaughter Emily McDaniel.
