OIL CITY - Mrs. C. O. (Phebie) Boyer, 63, widow of Clemence Oliver Boyer, of North Side Star Route, died suddenly at 11:05 p.m. Monday, October 28, 1957, at the Titusville Hospital. Born Phebie Elsie Whitling in Van, September 5, 1894, she was a daughter of George & Eliza Schreffler Whitling.
She was educated in Van schools and resded in Oil City and vicinity all her life. She was married in July 1911 in Nineveh to Clemence Boyer, who died in 1924. She was a member of the Van Free Methodist Church.
Surviving children are Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Rumberger of Van, Mrs. Emery (Doris) Lineman & Mrs. John (Ada) Roberts of Oil City, Miss Elsie Boyer of Congress, GA, and Edgar and Clemence Boyer Jr., of Cranberry and 19 grandchildren. Three brothers also survive, Nelson Whitling of Jal, NM.
The body was taken to Crawford Funeral Home where friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today.
