Lyda A. Wildrick, 87, of Blakeslee died Sunday in the hospice unit of Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.


She was the wife of the late Walter J. Wildrick.


Born in Locust Ridge, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Emma Van Horn.


She had worked at Printing Craftsmen in Pocono Pines and previously she had worked as a waitress at Windy Corners in Blakeslee.


She was a member of Blakeslee United Methodist Church, the Blakeslee Community Association and the Fair Weather Senior Citizens in Blakeslee. She had also been a charter member of the Pocono Mountain Women's Club.


She is survived by a son, James W. Wildrick and his wife Yvonne of White Haven; a sister, Jennie Bachman of Thornhurst; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Yeager and Alice Keiper, and by three brothers, Ted, Pete and Bill Van Horn.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Blakeslee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Burgess Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Blakeslee Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday in the church.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blakeslee United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 142, Blakeslee, PA 18610.
