Husband of Angelic Briggs


Mr. David Briggs, in his 36th year, left this life on Monday, July 28, 2006 from Stockton, California.


Mr. Briggs was a resident of Vian, Oklahoma and married to Angleic Briggs.


The final tribute will be on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Vian High School Auditorium.


Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery at Vian.


You may visit David, as he slumbers at the First Baptist Church in Vian on Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM.


It all began in Vian, Oklahoma, when Nathaniel and Sandra [Wright] Briggs received a blessing from God, in the form of a new born son on June 18, 1970. They named him David.


David graduated from Vian High School and attended Hilldale Free Baptist College. He was employed with Bills Construction Company, CJ Pole Barn and National Pole Barn Co as a carpenter and construction worker.


After 36 years with us, David Briggs left this life on July 28, 2006 in Tracy, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Briggs and two brothers, Robert Briggs and Richard Briggs.


He leaves in God's care; His loving wife, Angelic Briggs; his children, Lyric Briggs, Kassandra Briggs and David Briggs, Jr., all of Vian, Oklahoma, Dimetra Briggs, Drey Briggs and Derec Briggs, all of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Darion Briggs and Dorian Briggs, both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his mother, Sandra Jean Briggs Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma; five brothers, Nathaniel Briggs, Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada, Marco Briggs, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Daniel Briggs, Willie Briggs and Eddie Briggs, all of Vian, Oklahoma; four sisters, Lenda Briggs Minor, Chanesha Briggs Jones and Josephine Briggs Gilliam, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ruby Briggs, Vian, Oklahoma; ten uncles, Ripple Briggs, Tulsa, Oklahoma, L. V. Briggs, Louis Bland, Gary Wright and Fred Wright, all of Vian, Oklahoma, Nate Wright, Billy Wright and Jerry Lee Wright, all of Stockton, California, Curtis Thompson, Blythe, California and Henderson Wright, Bakersfield, California; six aunts, Martha Briggs, Detroit, Michigan, Jewline Briggs Hyland, Brooklyn, New York, Wanda Hill, Stockton, California, Bernice Briggs, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amy Lee Briggs Ellis, Vian, Oklahoma and Wilma Dickson, Fort Smith, Arkansas; a special cousin, Luvy Danielle Samuels; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.Husband of Angelic Briggs
