Mrs Ono Howrey, 85, whose husband William S. Howrey died in 1954, died at Elm Heights rest home in Shenandoah early Monday morning. She had made her home in Shenandoah for 30 years and at the rest home about three years.

She was born in the Coin vicinity, and lived there for over a half century.

Two daughters are Mrs Lee (Florence) Mannasmith of Coin, and Mrs Vernon (Stella) Johnson of Salina, Kans; daughter-in-law, Mrs Flora Howrey of Shenandoah. She has six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Floyd in 1961.

Funeral services were at Shenandoah Wednesday, the Rev A.R. Sorenson officiating. Interment was in Snow Hill cemetery north of Coin. CLARINDA HERALD JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, May 28, 1964
