Around the age of five months, Willie was stricken with Scarlet Fever, a dreaded illness which was sweeping the country in the mid-1800
For a week, Sarah and Levi battled the fever. On May 30, 1869, Willie's little body could take no more, he passed away in the late hours of the night
Willie was laid to rest in Center Village Cemetery, Center Village, Ohio.
