She was born in Caldwell, Ohio to R. Glen and Lena Brown McFerren. She married Richard R. Murrey on June 8, 1946 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He survives.
She is also survived by three daughters, Sally A. (Tom) Kilhoffer, Sudie (Pete) Johnson and Molly (Kevin) Johnson; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1945.
She was a military wife who traveled extensively, following her husband who was in the Air Force. After his retirement in 1962 they settled in Rantoul and she began working at Bakers, Deena's and the Rantoul City Schools. She was a volunteer for Carle Clinic and the Octave Chanute Air Museum.
Her caring spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends.
