J. W. McEwen, formerly of New Salem, died at Morrison, O. T., Sunday morning. The remains will arrive tonight over the Santa Fe and the funeral service will be held at the Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 15. He was a member of the IOOF, AOUW, and Fraternal Aid. This will be sad news to the many friends of Wes McEwen. He was one of the old pioneers of Cowley and first class citizen always.
