John Eley, a Winfield carpenter, who had recently been working in Arkansas City, died at the Murphy boarding house in that place last Tuesday morning, of heart disease. He retired Wednesday night as usual, apparently in good health and was found next morning dead, with his hands thrown over his breast near his heart. He leaves a widow and two small children.
