Verna Field of Mentone dies at 61
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday for Mrs. Verna Rose Field, 2249 Nice avenue, Mentone, who died yesterday at age 61. A native of Idaho, Mrs. Field had resided in Mentone for the past 15 years. She had served as organist for the Unity Church of Yucaipa up to her death, and with ber husband, Richard W. Field, handled tbe San Bernardino Sun dealership in the Redlands and Mentone area for 15 years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Field is. survived by a sister, Mrs. Evadna Spencer, of Portland, Ore. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. at the F. Arthur Cortner chapeL Rev. Fredric D. Rogers, pastor of the Unity church of Yucaipa, will officiate. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Hillside Memorial park. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Cancer Fund, in care of Martha Mueller, Bank of America, 20 West State street.
