Mrs. Peggy Ann Courtney Downs, 58, Standing Rock Road, Dover, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her home.

A school bus driver, she was a member of Dover First Church of the Nazarene, Dover. Born May 23, 1947, in Palmersville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Ella B. Courtney and the late Bowman Courtney.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Downs; one daughter, Mrs. Jessica Middendorf, Bourbonnais, Ill.; three sons, Justin Downs, Osh Kosh, Wis., Jack Downs, Wingo, Ky., and Joshua Downs, Montgomery, Ala.; her mother, Mrs. Ella B. Courtney, Dover; two brothers, Billy Courtney, Lewisburg, Tenn., and John Courtney, Paris, Tenn.; two grandchildren.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Anglin Funeral Home, Inc., Dover. Marvin Frederick, Ben Middendorf and Doug Terry will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Howard Lee Jobe, Sonny Compton, Don Hendrixson, Billy McElroy, Carl Cottrell and Carter Cottrell. Burial will follow in the Lane Cemetery, Dover.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Thursday) and after 10 a.m. Friday.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Dover First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, Dover.
