On April 30, 1900 as William C. Eustis, he married Edith Morton at Manhattan, New York.
They were the parents of five children.
William Corcoran Eustis was a member of a prominent Washington, D.C. family. His father was George Eustis Jr., a member of the United States House of Representatives and Secretary of the Confederate States mission in Paris. His grandfather was William Wilson Corcoran, well known philanthropist who funded the building of the Corcoran Gallery of Art. He was the Chairman of the Inauguration Committee for the 1913 inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson. During World War I Captain Eustis served as the personal secretary to General John J. Pershing. He married the daughter of Levi Parsons Morton, the 22nd Vice President of the United States in 1900. He and his wife bought Oatlands Plantation in 1903, restoring the home and its gardens. The home is currently operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is listed as a National Historic Landmark.
