William Bernhardt Garves N. CHARLESTON - William (Bill) Bernhardt Garves, 75, passed away January 8, 2013, in Panama City, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Royall Garves, his son, William Melvin (Mel) Garves, and his parents. He is survived by one daughter, Cile Logsdon, two grandchildren, Amanda Logsdon and Phillip Logsdon, and siblings Kathryn, Jack, Joe and Maryellen. Bill was born in Charleston, SC, September 21, 1937, to John F. M. Garves, Sr., and Mattie Alleine Nelson Garves. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Bill will be buried in an informal graveside service at 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, N. Charleston, SC. Friends may join the family at the Mausoleum Chapel.
