Mr. Hitchcock attempted to thaw out some dynamite on a stove in his shop, the debris flew in every direction when the dynamite let go! Thankfully, only his ego was damaged.
His shop became the location of the Wolverine Soap Co. located on Water St on the banks of the Grand River.
