Mrs. L. Ambrose Dies In Ia. City
Mrs. Anita Barnes Ambrose, 26, of Gravity, died Thursday, March 15 at University hospitals in Iowa City after a lingering illness. She formerly made her home in Lenox with the Russell Dukes family after her mother’s death. She was a graduate of Lenox high school
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Ambrose; two daughters, Barbara and Pamela, one son, LaVern, all of Gravity; her father, A. C. Barnes and brother, Kermit Barnes of Braddyville; six half-brothers, Virgil Dukes of Clarinda, Russell Dukes of Lenox, Drexel Dukes of Villisca, Ray Dukes of Kent, Randy and Martin Dukes of Braddyville; one half sister, Mrs. Viola Starlin of Diagonal.
Funeral services were held Sunday at two p. m. at the Christian church in Gravity. Burial was in the Gravity cemetery.
