Mrs. John Allen Dead
Died, at her home in Bedford on Tuesday morning, June 18, 1901, at 7:15 o'clock, Mrs. John Allen [Malvina Stewart], aged 65 years, 2 months and 14 days. The funeral services will be conducted at the late home this afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. A. H. Collins. Interment in Bedford cemetery.
Malvina Stewart was born in New York, N. Y., April 4, 1836; married John Allen October 1, 1863. They resided in Illinois until 1865, then came to Taylor county. Deceased united with the M. E. church in childhood. She was the mother of four children, three of whom are living, [William] Frank [Francis], Milton and Cora, all of whom live in Bedford. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends.
