Audrey Mae (Cooper) Hartney, 83, a resident of Wenatchee for over 60 years, passed away at her home on April 2, 2000.
Audrey was born in Franklin, AR on June 22, 1916. She worked as a sorter and packer in various fruit companies and retired from Cascadian Fruit Shipper in 1992. She also worked as a waitress at McKenzie Cafe for several years.
Audrey is survived by her husband, William (Bill) C. Hartney of Wenatchee; sisters, Lucy Berglund and Merlene Williams, both of Wenatchee; and many special nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Lydia M. Cooper, five brothers, Shelby, James (Jake), Hayden, Floyd and Arlis, one sister, Edyth Dowdle.
Audrey was a member of the Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2000, at Jones & Jones Chapel with Pastor Buddy Ellis officiating.
