Gordon L. Ensminger, 75, of 520 10th, died Monday evening at Central Kansas Medical Center following a long illness. Born May 29, 1892 at Smithfield W.V., He married Dessie Byard, Sept 24, 1914 in Ernshaw, W.V. The came to Great Bend from Plainville in 1953 and had prevously lived in Eureka for a number of years.
Surviors, one son, F.L. (Jack) Ensminger, Great Bend; daughters, Mrs. Guynn Crookham, Pratt, Mrs. Norman Pratt, Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. H. M. Haines, Burton, W. Va., and Mrs. Kenneth Mille, Enterprise; sisters, Mrs. Rosa Shuman and Mrs. Lottie Cousins, both of Smithfield, W. Va., Mrs. Millie King, Logan, Ohio; two half-brothers, Armstrong Ensminger and Lloyd Ensminger, both of Smithfield; two half-sisters, Mrs. Loren Copenhauer and Mrs. Bonnie Wycoff, both of Mannington, W. Va. ; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren .
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryant and Fryberger Mortuary with the Rev. William Campbell Officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the morturay.
