Archie was born in Tipton County, Indiana on May 20, 1913. He was the third born of five children to Herschell Anderson and Wilma Gordon.
He was the chief storekeeper for the U.S. Navy in Alameda for 31 years. He lived in Fremont for 35 years and was a member of the Fleet Reserve.
Archie and Elretta are buried together, they share the headstone, Archie on the front, Elretta on the back.
