Death of an Old Settler


G. W. Barnard was born in Laporte county, Indiana, October 11, 1850. He moved from Indiana to Kansas and from there to Oklahoma where he resided for twelve years. He was converted at the Pleasant Valley school house, near Mulhall, and joined the Evangelical Association and has been a consistent member.


At 7:55 a.m., July 13, 1901, Mr. Barnard died at his home west of Mulhall, aged 50 years, 9 months and 2 days. He leaves a wife and seven children, three boys and four girls; also a father, mother, two brothers and one sister, all living west of Mulhall. They mourn the loss of the departed, but they mourn not as those who have no hope! - C.J. EISELEIN
