Alma was born May 6, 1923, in Austin to Marie and Oscar Lindau. Alma was a longtime member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church, where she was married in June 1946. She was the mother of three daughters and was active with Girl Scouts and the PTA. After her children were raised, she worked with the Diamond Hill United Way Daycare Center with 2-year-olds and was a member of the Diamond Hill Senior Citizen Center where she liked to sew, quilt and play chicken foot.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. "Bob" Bowman Jr., in 2003.
Survivors: Daughters, Jan Myers, Barbara Tennison and husband, Lynn, Becky Dougan and husband, Doug; sister, Emily Nolan; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
