ARVELLA LUCILLE HICKS - Arvella, 88, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2008, at her home in Riverside, CA.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leslie;
brothers, Raymond Martin, Willard Martin, Delbert Martin;
sisters, Sadie Maynard, and Nan Browner.
She is survived by sisters, Tona Hicks and Rita Van Dusen;
daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte & Phil McKinnon of Gardnerville, Nevada, Linda & Curtis Edwards of Ryegate, Montana, and Joan & Mike Balboni of Upland, California.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Julie, Roger, Lisa, Donna, Tony, Bradley, and eight great-grandchildren.
Arvella was born in Lewellan, Nebraska, October 23, 1920. She moved to Riverside, CA in 1922, and resided in the area for 86 years.
Arvella graduated from Poly H.S. in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart, Leslie Hicks on June 17, 1939. She was a homemaker for 68 years. Arvella was a member of Victoria Presbyterian Church in Riverside. Services will be held November 28, 10:00 am at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA. ARVELLA LUCILLE HICKS - Arvella, 88, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2008, at her home in Riverside, CA.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leslie;
brothers, Raymond Martin, Willard Martin, Delbert Martin;
sisters, Sadie Maynard, and Nan Browner.
She is survived by sisters, Tona Hicks and Rita Van Dusen;
daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte & Phil McKinnon of Gardnerville, Nevada, Linda & Curtis Edwards of Ryegate, Montana, and Joan & Mike Balboni of Upland, California.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Julie, Roger, Lisa, Donna, Tony, Bradley, and eight great-grandchildren.
Arvella was born in Lewellan, Nebraska, October 23, 1920. She moved to Riverside, CA in 1922, and resided in the area for 86 years.
Arvella graduated from Poly H.S. in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart, Leslie Hicks on June 17, 1939. She was a homemaker for 68 years. Arvella was a member of Victoria Presbyterian Church in Riverside. Services will be held November 28, 10:00 am at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA. Internment at Riverside National Cemetery.
