Arlene H. Burks, 90, retired Blossom postmistress, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville.

Clarksville Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Knights of Honor Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 3, 1909, in Minter to Frank and Ella Montgomery Hart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Dale Burks, and a grandson, Michael Dale Parker
