Ruby Cays, 84, dies
Mrs. Ruby (Allie) Cays, 84, Manville, died at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Hospital, after a serious illness of five weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Behrendt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gilbert Fletcher of Cornell officiating. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
She was born April 24, 1888, in Cayuga, the daughter of Theodore and Amelia (Wells) Becker. She married Reuben A. Cays in Pontiac on Dec. 18, 1907. He preceded her in death in 1953.
She attended Livingston County schools, and was a member of the Cornell Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters . . . ; two brothers, Charles Becker, Applegate, Mich.; Theodore Becker, Odell, two sisters, Mrs. Nerrine Hodgeman, Odell, and Mrs. Gertrude Keiseweitter, Cayuga; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Helen Gingrich, Pontiac, seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A daughter, a son, two sisters, and a brother preceded her in death.
