GREENVIEW - Thomas Boyer, 71, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital.

A retired miner, he was a member of the Progressive Miners Union.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen; three sons, Ernest, of Sweetwater; Harmon, of Greenview; and John William, of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Wessellman, of Tallula; Miss Amelia Tisdale, of Forest City; and Mrs. Alma Wessellman, of Sweetwater; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Hornback, of Tallula; and Mrs. Kate Carlton, of Galesburg; 25 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Greenview Christian Church.

Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
