Micheal J. Horton was a dear friend of mine who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident. Mike was a funny, charming, easy going and loving man who welcomed everyone with open arms. He was a loving and devoted husband to Tanya and daddy to Zachary. I have known Mike for 16 years, and although we had not spoken in a few, I always knew it was only a matter of time until we crossed paths again. He was that type of guy. You knew that even if there was distance it would not be permanent. I still know that to be true because I know in my heart, I will see him again.

Michael was born July 7, 1978 and passed away on February 4, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Tanya; his son Zachary; Father Mike Andrew Horton; Mother Cheryl Gunwald; 3 sisters Shallyn, Aubree, & Sydney; Brother Matthew; nephew Corey; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Michael loved life. He enjoyed snowboarding, wakeboarding, karaoke, bowling, shooting, dancing, wrestling with his son and going to the river. Above all these things he loved being with his wife and son. Michael was very outgoing and well loved. He was a friend to everyone he met. His family and friends will miss his generous and kind spirit.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
