GEORGE RAY BEAMAN
George Ray Beaman, 81, Uniontown, died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born January 14, 1890, the son of George and Effie Hinton Beaman. On Oct. 1, 1911, he married Ruth Turner at Fort Scott.
She died in 1967. Mr. Beaman farmed near Uniontown and was a former state employee and car salesman. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge at Uniontown.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George (Lula) Shull, Redding, Calif., Mrs. Ted (Ethel) Olsen, El Centro, Calif., and Mrs. W. J. (Ina) Nicolini, Fresno, Calif.; two sons, Gerald Beaman of Holtville, Calif., and Harold Beaman of Wichita, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Beaman was the last of his family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Uniontown Methodist Church with Rev. Deane Endicott officiating. Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery under the direction of Ralston-Hutton Funeral Home of Moran.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bourbon County Association for Retarded Children and can be sent to the funeral home.
