Obituary: Bartosh, Mary Josephine Chvatal 1885-1993
The funeral for Mary J. Bartosh, 107, 2550 N. Nye Ave., was Tuesday at Kucera Funeral Home in Prague. Bartosh died Saturday, September 4, 1993, at Arbor Manor. She was a homemaker.
Mary Chvatal was born Nov. 17, 1885, in Prague. She lived in the Morse Bluff and Prague areas and for the past 15 years at Arbor Manor. She married Frank Bartosh Jan. 15, 1907, at Wahoo. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include three granddaughters and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son and one granddaughter. Burial was at National Cemetery at Prague.

Mary attended Willow Creek School, District 51 which was 1 mile west of their home. Mary always wanted to be a teacher but her father said he could use her on the farm.
After Frank's death, Mary continued living in Prague until her daughter, Irene, moved to Fremont and Mary then lived with her daughter and husband.
After Irene's death, Mary moved to Arbor Manor in Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska. Mary Chvatal Bartosh entered into rest on September 4, 1993 to reach the golden age of 107 years, 9 months, and 17 days.
