Herman Gast Martin, aged 56, chief carpenter's mate, U.S.N. (retired), died at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, yesterday morning at 11:38 o'clock. Besides his wife, Mrs. Willie Elizabeth Martin, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Martha Marie Martin; three sons, Herman G. Martin, Jr., Andrew R. Martin and B.F. Boldt. Mr. Martin was a native of Prussia and resided at 2006 Chesapeake Street, Ocean View.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East Freemason Street, pending Funeral arrangements.
