Born in Lipscomb County, oldest child of Henry and Celia (Mills) Barton. Rancher in Lipscomb County throughout his life.

Funeral services were held in the First Christian church of Perryton on Tuesday afternoon for Lail Mills BARTON, 61, who died Sunday at his ranch home on Wolf Creek in Lipscomb county.

He had been a rancher in the Wolf Creek community for many years.

Rev. Joe FREDERICK, pastor of the First Christian church, conducted the final rites.

Pallbearers were Wallace HAMKER, Kay PEERY, B. L. HANCE, Herschel SNODDY, Harold PEERY, Ralph ARNOLD, Edward MERYDITH, and Les WEBB.

Honorary pallbearers were Coy MERYDITH, Harry KING, E. J. CUSSENS, Cap KELLY, Ralph ALEXANDER and J. S. TALLEY.

He is survived by his wife, Lactia; a sister, Mrs. Roy GHEEN of Perryton and a brother, Dick BARTON of Canadian.
