FINAL RITES FOR MRS. ANDERSON
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Leedom Anderson, at her late residence, Burmont and Glen roads, Manoa.
Joseph Baily and Miss Mendenhall, members of the Society of Friends, were the speakers.
Interment was at the Haverford Friends' Burying Ground. The casket beareres were Samuel Pancoast, Elsworth Pancoast, Norman Leedom, Lane Anderson, Harry Lobb, and Evan Lobb.
Mrs. Anderson was born and had always lived in the house from which she was buried. She was a daughter of the late Maris and Elvira Leedom, who resided in the vicinity known as Leedom's Mills, the property being deeded to the Leedoms by William Penn.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Society of Friends and atteded Haverford Friends Meeting. She was also an interested member of the Delaware County Historical Society.
Mrs. Anderson was taken ill on Tuesday evening, December 5, and passed away on December 9, death being due to pneumonia.
She was held in high esteem by everyone.
Mrs. Anderson's survivors are five children, Edward Lane Anderson, Highland Park; B. Hayes Anderson, of Haddonfield, N.J.; Mrs. Elvira Leedom Mahan, of Nottingham; Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson Kressler, of Manoa, and Mrs. Mary Anderson Hibberd, of Media, and eight grandchildren.
