Mary Jane Walker, 72, of Champlain, Va., formerly of Dayton and Brookville, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, Virginia. She was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Rimersburg, a daughter of the late William T. Houser and Goldie L. Rossey. Mary was a clerk for the U.S. Post Office. She was of the Protestant faith and loved sending e-mails to family and friends. She is survived by her husband, George Walker; two sons, Richard Houser and his wife, Alice, of Margaret, and Paul Kepler and his companion, Kim, of Turkey City; three daughters, Jacqueline Stearns and her husband, Joseph, of Champlain, Harriett McGarvey and her husband, Mike, of Summerville, S.C. and Robin Irwin, of Champlain; three stepsons, George Walker, of Erie, Scott Walker, of Ruther Glen, Va., and Tony Walker, of Northeast; a stepdaughter, Mary Jo Walker, of Erie; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Irwin. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC., where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial in Cochran Cemetery, Boggs Township.
