Mrs. Morton died Sept. 11, 2008, in Wills Point.
She was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Pine Grove to the late W.A. and Essie Warren McGee. She was raised in Pine Grove, just south of Athens, where she graduated from high school. She lived in Los Alamos, N.M., for 30 years and worked at Los Alamos Community Hospital as a dietician until she returned to Wills Point in 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Morton.
Survivors include sons, Bobby J. Morton, Grand Saline and Jerry Mac Morton, Keo, Ark.; daughters, Mary Jean King, Fruitvale and Patricia Ayers, Wills Point; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
