He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II having served in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany as a Communications Chief. He was a private pilot and enjoyed electronics and boating. He retired as an Electronic Communication Engineer for RCA at Patrick AFB, Eastern Test Range.
Mr. Davenport is survived by his daughter, Pamela Davenport (Douglas) Worth; granddaughters, Mia and Amanda, and a sister, Vera Cox.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, April 2nd, with a 7 p.m., Funeral Service at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home.
