Wesley Ahrens, 78, of Greensburg, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at Horizons Specialty Hospital, Wichita.
He was born April 27, 1920 on the family farm southeast of Greensburg, the son of Fredrick William and Anna Marie Heckel Ahrens. Wesley graduated from Greensburg High School in 1937 and lived in the Greensburg community all of his life. He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Farmer's Grain and Supply company, Kiowa County Farm Bureau, and Cast Iron Seat and Hub Cap Collectors National Associations.
He married Wretha May Busby on May 24, 1948. She preceded him in death April 26, 1981.
Survivors include three sons, a daughter, a brother, two sisters, four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Ahrens and a brother Cecil Ahrens.
Funeral will be at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.--from newspaper
