Sarah Elizabeth Gottschalk
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth GOTTSCHALK, 74, died at 10:30 a.m. today at her home 1 1/2 miles east of here on the Fort Wayne Road. She had been ill two years.
Born Dec. 27, 1875, five miles southwest of Rochester, she spent some time in Peru before moving back here 28 years ago.
She was the daughter of George Henry and Sarah BURNS WERNER and in 1937 in Rochester was married to Noah
GOTTSCHALK.
She was a member of the Rochester Methodist church, the Rebekah and a Gold Star mother.
Survivors include: The husband; three step-sons, Harry [GOTTSCHALK], Fort Wayne, Walter [GOTTSCHALK], Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Ira [GOTTSCHALK], Lewistown, Idaho; a brother, John WERNER, Rochester, and several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home where friends may call. Services will be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Thomas LUKE will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF cemetery here.
