He was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Clarendon, the son of M. Laverne and Mae Sallade Albaugh. During World War II he served with the U.S. Marine Corps. A self-employed barber for over 40 years, he was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and its choir and was also a soloist at various area churches. He was a charter member of the Blueberry Hill Golf Club and former member of the Cable Hollow Golf Club and Warren Jaycees. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Goal Albaugh, whom he married March 15, 1941, in Clarendon; a son, Kenneth J. Albaugh of Lewistown, Pa.; a daughter, Susan G. Rice of State College, Pa.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Todd Albaugh of Elizabethtown, Pa., and the Rev. Ray Albaugh of Celoron; and a sister, Beulah Lauffer of Warren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karice Albaugh; and two brothers: Marion and Merle Albaugh.
