John Richard French Sr., 47, of 649 Katie Bridge Drive, Walterboro, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. R. T. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg.
Mr. French was born May 25, 1961, in Orangeburg, the son of Harold Hammett French and the late Betty Hodson French.
Survivors include his wife, Tammara Schmitt French of the home; two sons, John R. French Jr. and Raymond L. French (Victoria), all of Walterboro; three stepchildren, April Davis, Keith Hiers and Kimberly Hiers, all of Walterboro; his father and stepmother, Harold and Mary Agnes French of Orangeburg; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce French Fogle (Ricky) of Cordova and Sharon French Fender (William) of Orangeburg; two brothers, James Harold French (Joanie) of Lexington and W. Brett French (Heather) of Orangeburg; a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence of Harold and Mary Agnes French, 1013 Deer Crossing Road, Orangeburg and at the funeral home.
