Services for Lillie Mae Springs, 90, of Gainesville, were held Wednesday, November 2, at 2 pm at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. She died Monday, October 31, 1994, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
Rev. Charles Hite conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Terry Engler.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, southwest of Collinsville, under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Springs was born August 31, 1904 in Red River County, Texas, the daughter of the late Bartlett Monroe Locke and Phylena Mae Cavin Locke. She married Sam Bass Springs on September 2, 1921, in Grayson County, Texas. He preceded her in death October 23, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Survivors are four daughters, Helen Heffley of Collinsville, Wilma Buckhanan and Wanda Cardwell, both of Whitesboro, and Alma Blythe of Gainesville, a sister, Bessie Russell of Surprise, Arizona; five grandchildren; and nine great-granchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Cardwell, John Harwell, Stan Floyd, Doug Heffley, Jason Heffley, L.A. Bridges and Aaron Heffley.
